In the library:
- Display assistive technology in prominent places, with appropriate signage.
- Make flyers that detail and explain your collection available. When designing the lay-out, use large font size and high-contrast print.
- Label adjustable workstations and hang signage over computers with adaptive software installed.
- If assistive technology is in a special room, provide clear signs directing users to its location.
- Hand out flyers at local rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, group homes, and social services agencies.
- Attend health fairs and demonstrate your libraries technology.
- Offer presentations at the local Senior Center to educate the aging population, who may be losing hearing, vision, or hand dexterity due to arthritis, about assistive technology that is available.
